When you think retargeting, think of the old traditional media buzz word, “frequency.” The more times you hit an audience with your message, the more likely they will be to use your service. Retargeting is a way to keep your client’s brand fresh in a potential customer’s mind until they are finally ready to buy.

Retargeting works by placing a small piece of Javascript code on your client’s website. It is not visible to page traffic, nor does is disrupt website function. Alternatively, our in-house artist can create a banner ad to your specifications and place a tracking pixel within the ad. We then apply this coding to your current campaign. (SEM, E-Blast, etc.)

This technology sends an anonymous cookie to each new visitor of the site. It then monitors that visitor as they browse the web and sends data back to us. We use this information to determine to the most effective timing and placement of ads for each potential customer. Once this code is activated, that customer will see your ad everywhere they go.

With retargeting, people who have shown prior interest will be repeatedly reminded of your client’s brand as they continue to shop around. This strategy only shows ads to those who have already explored your client’s product. This way, advertising dollars are focused on those who are most likely to make a purchase, resulting in a greater ROI.
