In response to my second post in this thread, I still listen to MCR, Green Day, Blink-182, and Anberlin, and AFI remains one of my favorite bands (I love all of their music, not just Decemberunderground), but I’ve definitely progressed toward much heavier bands as far as what I listen to most is concerned.I do listen to Slipknot now, and they’re one of my favorites. The orphans are punk.Propaghandi: the only hardcore band I will ever likeFifteen: folk punk, lots of inspirational and honest protest music for social/political changeDavid Dondero: he’s alright, very cynical folk rock bluesRobert Blake (the swingin folk guitarist, not the hiply hopster)and if you don’t know these bands, I’m sorryPink Floyd: something has been lost through the ages, people can’t free style on guitar like they used to, I can jam pretty hard too, but those guys, clean and clear and simple, straight to the point, no funny bussiness, not like today, it’s all funny bussiness and empty chords, no depthRushBlue Oyster CultPrimus(although I can’t stand listening to it, I use it as psychological warfare when playing poker, he is my standard for musical virtuosity)No offense but just to comment, I dislike all the bands others have mentioned so far. Philippus Aureolus Theophrastus Bombastus von Hohenheim, I suppose. (Although that would be rather ironic.) The two bands I’ve really been listening to the past couple days are Blink-182 and Anberlin. David dondero and all the older bands are pretty popular though. Screaming Trees fans should check out (and this is no surprise to Trees fans) Mark Lanegan’s work with Soulsavers. I’m not sure what comment to give on this point.
AFI: Awesome, love Decemberunderground, Sing The Sorrow (yes, This Celluloid Dream is amazing), and The Art Of Drowning. Their tickets are never more than 20 bucks, and sometimes they are free. Sorry, I can’t screech in that little girl voice: STIIIING! WE LOOOVE YOOOOU!
Besides, it’s not about Sting, per se. This may ruffle some feathers on this forum, but, if the existence of God (or a god) could be proven, then true atheists would believe in god. Philippus Aureolus Theophrastus Bombastus von Hohenheim, I suppose. (Although that would be rather ironic.) I’m thinking that was his twin brother. I would think it is more a sharing personal experience to create questions we can ask doctors, as to treatment. Those who haven’t yet heard Monster Magnet would do well to check out their 1994 (or so) Lp Dopes to Infinity.
I have my bug out bag ready for the zombie apocalypse. Hey guys!!My top favourite bands of all time are (not in order); My Chemical RomanceAFIAidenSlipknotGreendayAll of these bands are just so unique, and the fact that some of them can maintain a huge following after so many years (Greenday especially) just shows how talented they are.My favourite albums areMCR – Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge (Absolutely love “I Never Told You What I Do For A Living”)AFI – Sing The Sorrow (The best songs are no doubt “This Celluloid Dream” and “This Time Imperfect” in my opinion)Aiden – Nightmare Anatomy ( i LOVE Knife Blood Nightmare… Their cover of “There’s No Way Out of Here”, recorded originally–I believe–by David Gilmour around 1977, reminds us that for no reason must the “power ballad” be a cheap love song. The crap factories I loathe will occasionally do some entertainingly risky things.
Of course you are right, we have no proof of our qualification or claims here and we are not able to examine you. Always into these guys though I don’t listen to music unless in the city, while I’m living in the country I prefer the unpredictable polyrythms of nature. Why? Is his name Theo?

Atheists accept statements with the amount of certainty that can be proven. Some atheists feel the need to emphasize that atheists do not believe in God or any god, and they seem to use this specific statement as their manifesto. It’s an amazing album, full of absolute gems, especially “Teenagers” and “Dead!” I totally forgot about this thread. While MG isn’t my favorite band by a longshot, and I don’t listen to their album as much as others, I have virtually no complaint with the band.
Unfortunately, that is not against the forum rules. But it should be. And if the Godsmacks and other “heavy” bands of popular culture could wake up for a moment, they cheap essay writer service
would realize they are years behind in their sound. I know it sounds heaps emo but it’s really good)Slipknot – Iowa (Disasterpiece has the best opening line. Only one band has matched Kyuss, and that is its offspring, Queens of the Stone Age. What’s this his name racket? Hera and Isis and Chantico and Freya and Astarte have perfectly good names – as names for gods that are not “him” gods go.
It’s heavy like their first album, Blueprints For The Blackmarket, but more in the style of their second album, Never Take Friendship Personal (if that means anything to anyone). It’s about getting to hear pop music that doesn’t suck.Other than that ….Favorite listening at present: Floater, Monster Magnet, Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Screaming Trees, Beach Boys/Brian WilsonLongstanding favorites: Styx, Tanita Tikaram, The Rheostatics, Elton John, Peter GabrielLeast favorite: What? I would have to listen to them to know. Let’s see …. And also for your own opinion of your condition.
Love Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge. For instance, if you’re going to name your band after someone else’s song, don’t suck! As an example, I would ask Godsmack fans to go out and find a copy of Mondo Generator’s Cocaine Rodeo. Going to buy Dookie and the rest eventually. oohWhat am I into right now..A Silver Mount Zion, Say Hi, Fever Ray are what I’m currently listening to a lot.Old favourites:Broken Social Scene, Metric, Feist, The Stars, and a lot of old rock. Atheists don’t believe in the Resurrection of the Dead.
So you will all probably hate the music I like. Don’t be a bystander in your health, be involved in it, accept responsibility for it.Of course, I’m not a doctor. :wink:This is probably not intended as a discussion thread either… Pick a group, talk about why you like them, what makes them unique, favorite albums, etc.
When I really want to listen to music, I make it.Eric Peterson and his band Mischief Brew and his old band The OrphansEric peterson is probably one of the most creative and inspirational musicians I have ever heard. My two cents? I’m seeing The Police tonight.
And my musical tastes have changed dramatically from roughly a year and a half ago. How heartbreaking?! Anyway i forgot to add these favourite bands…KornSystem of a DownHellogoodbyeFall Out BoyCradle Of FilthJob For A Cowboyand pretty much any other metal, punk, or emo band…By the way Chemboy, you have gotta check out The Black Parade. The new Anberlin album out, Cities, is amazing. Originally Posted by Robittybob1 Originally Posted by Strange Why?

God would have to change his name then so the atheists remains true to their beliefs. https://internationaleducation.gov.au/research/research-papers you should thank the God of moderators for not smiting you with the ban hammer or at least a suspension for intentional obtuseness in more than two threads. The latter is so addictive, cannot get enough of it.Aiden: never heard of them.Slipknot: Not bad, but I don’t listen to them.Green Day: Up there with AFI. The hell we don’t. He and mischief brew are folk punk with gypsy swingin jazz styles. Check it out it’s awesome)Greenday – International Superhits (Some of the greatest songs ever recorded.)Well there’s my 2 cents worth…
So what are they? Hardcore? Aiden are an amazing band. Yet, this may be the case for your doctor as well. Some of their recordings are pretty low quality, actually they all are, but some are VERY SHITTY, so please look for a few of them before judging them if you do.
I remember i read in a magazine that they said something like “AFI are our idols,” and the guys from AFI just pretty much said, “Who the hell is Aiden? We don’t like that kind of music, so the band Aiden means nothing to us!” I laughed pretty hard when I read that interview! I mean, imagine your idols saying that you mean practically nothing to them…
I would like to start a thread simply to talk about bands or music groups that we may happen to be into at the moment, with more discussion taking place than in the “what are you listening to?” thread. The point is that they don’t suck compared to their inspiration. I’ve heard david dondero sounds like bright eyes, but Ive never heard them, I’ve only heard of them quite a lot, so I asume they are somewhat popular amongst the alternativists.anyway, please check these guys out on youtube, they have many videos of small shows, actually they only do small shows and festivals. My other favorite bands currently are As I Lay Dying, All That Remains, Rammstein, Gojira, Demon Hunter, and Project 86.
It’s been a while since I’ve seen them live, but while touring Monolithic Baby!, they played Neumo, in Seattle, and my respect for the band increased even more; Monster Magnet is the testosterone-charged force that will save rock and roll from the myriad crap factories mucking up the airwaves. Love American Idiot and Nimrod. Originally Posted by Robittybob1 Atheists don’t believe in the Resurrection of the Dead.
But I strenuously avoid things like Blink 182, Linkin Park, and other crap factories.Biggest disappointments of late: Coldplay, The KillersBiggest surprises: Paul Simon (I like his music, but last year’s album, coincidentally called Surprise, blew my mind), Monster Magnet’s cover of “There’s No Way Out of Here”.Best shows seen in the last year: The Melvins @ Showbox (New Year’s w/Big Business, Porn, and guests); Mastodon @ Showbox (who the hell opened …?); Roger Waters @ Mercer Arena.Nods also to Belle & Sebastian, My Bloody Valentine, and Band of Susans. Not only is this a disclaimer but also a warning as to the nature of life in general. Originally Posted by Strange Originally Posted by Robittybob1 Originally Posted by Strange Why?
